Quick Heating Tips

Simple Checks Before You Call

Staying warm on a cold winter day is more than just a comfort—it's a necessity. If your heat suddenly goes out, here are a few things to try before giving us a call:

  1. Check the Thermostat:
Make sure it’s on and set to "heat." Try raising the temperature at least 5 degrees above the current setting—it should turn on within 90 seconds.
  2. Check Your Breaker or Fuse Box:
If a breaker is tripped, reset it. If a fuse is blown, replace it with one of the same amperage. If the issue happens again, it’s time to call CPR.
  3. Inspect the Fan Belt (for warm-air systems):
Turn off the power and look for a loose, slipped, or broken fan belt. Reseat or replace it as needed. If the motor is noisy, the bearings may be worn—let us take a look.

Still not working? No problem. Call CPR Heating & Cooling anytime—we offer 24/7 emergency service, and our expert team is always ready to help.

Choosing the Right Cooling System

Smart Cooling Starts with the Right Fit

Not every space has the same cooling demands—and the right system makes all the difference in comfort, efficiency, and cost.

  • For smaller homes or lighter cooling needs, a properly sized unit ensures optimal performance without wasted energy.
  • For larger homes or buildings, a central air system is often the best solution. These systems are discreet, quiet, and effective—and if you already have a forced-air heating system, we may be able to use your existing ductwork for added savings and convenience.
